We perform a balance check and wear test.
We disassemble your cardan shaft for a thorough inspection of all parts.

We assemble the joints according to the specifications from the respective technical drawings.
We assemble your cardan shaft including precise fitting and adjustment of the shaft.
We weld your cardan shafts according to quality certificates.
We adjust your cardan shaft on the straightening press.

The Uni-Cardan® brand has a long history. It was founded as a joint company of various cardan shafts manufacturers and merged their respective target market and groups. The Uni-Cardan® AG originated in 1964 and consisted of shaft manufacturer Jean Walterscheid KG, Löhr & Bronkamp Offenbach and Gelenkwellenbau GmbH Essen.

They were later joined by Glaenzer Spicer (Poissy/France), Birfield Transmission and Walterscheid Schmiede- und Presswerk (Trier). Two years later, GKN acquired the Birfield group and got involved with the Uni-Cardan® AG.

GKN achieved majority interest in 1971, and subsequently, Uni-Cardan AG® has been a product brand of the newly formed Walterscheid Powertrain Group.
